Latch

1. Remove the washer door.
2. Grind the notches on the lever with a needle file.
3. Apply a little graphite grease to the lever, but do not overdo it so as not to stain things during washing.
4. Replace the door and lock the screws.

Washing machine door repair - leaks

The most common cause of leaks, according to the commercials, is the insidious scum that accumulates in the washer in incredible quantities. In fact, the cause of this unpleasant phenomenon is the deformation of the cuff of the machine. It is impossible to repair it, only a replacement is needed.

Repair is simple, it can be done independently. The algorithm is as follows:

1. Remove the cover, control panel and trim strip.
2. Loosen the screw and remove the spring securing the front of the cuff.
3. Pull the cuff toward you, then unplug the wires.
4. Remove the spring attaching the cuff to the reservoir. To do this, you must first remove the balances.
5. After replacing the worn cuff with a working one, reassemble in the reverse order.

Door hinges

The reason for such a breakdown is a gross physical effect on the open hatch of the washing machine. Plastic does not stand this and, naturally, breaks. Remove the washer hatch by unscrewing the appropriate screws, install new hinges. After that, reassemble the hatch in the reverse order.

Glass

To replace damaged glass with a whole:

1. Disassemble the hatch according to the algorithm specified in the previous paragraph.
2. Remove the screws that hold the hatch halves together.
3. Pry off the glass so that your fingers are not injured. You can use a small screwdriver for this.
4. Replace the cracked glass with a new one and assemble the hatch in the reverse order.

Glass Repair

You can try and repair damaged glass. The procedure is as follows:

1. Remove the door.
2. Using tape, stick the film on the front surface of the glass. Slots should not be left.
3. Apply reinforcing tape to the glass defect.
4. Dilute the epoxy resin by mixing the base with the hardener.
5. Fill the defect with resin. As a rule, for complete polymerization you need to wait 24 hours.
6. Remove the plastic wrap.

Plastic pens

They are quite fragile, they can be broken quite easily. It is not practical to repair the handle; it is better to replace it. To begin, remove the door, remove the glass. A standard plastic pen kit includes:

• Handle.
• To the spring.
• Pin.
• Tongue.

1. To begin, install the spring in such a way as to catch it on the hatch body.
2. After that, install the metal tab, while aligning the holes of the housing and the springs.
3. Insert the pin into the spring and body holes, holding the resulting structure at the bottom.
