Do-it-yourself garden bench is made as follows:

1. We plan boards in order to remove the burrs.
2. We process the edge of the boards and timber to smoothness.
3. We perform wood processing with an antiseptic.
4. We connect the legs together with the help of crossbars and self-tapping screws.
5. Using self-tapping screws, we attach the seat and back boards to the legs.
6. After determining the most convenient angle of inclination of the back, we fix it with the help of corners and plates.
7. We fasten the legs by installing the lower cross member.
8. In order that the feet do not absorb rainwater, they are treated with mastic: the composition is heated on fire in a bucket, and then applied to the entire surface with a brush. It takes at least twenty-four hours for the protective compound to completely dry.
9. Yacht varnish or special impregnation is applied to the surface of the bench.

Important! If applied in one coat, the surface will become rough. To make it glossy, after the first layer, sanding is performed, and then the varnish is applied twice more.
