How to wash a window from cement?

To eliminate large spots and small drops of a solidified solid construction mixture, you will need:

• vinegar;
• baking soda;
• lemon;
• ammonia;
• household chemicals - Comet gel;
• specialty chemicals - Blitz, Baugerätereiniger 81 or ATLAS SZOP;
• polishing spray - Mr. Muscle or Cilit Bang.

To make it easier to remove the cement and at the same time protect yourself from harmful fumes, also prepare:

• a scraper for ceramic tiles or a plastic spatula;
• clean soft rags;
• gloves
• respirator.

How to wash windows from cement?

Depending on the area of ​​contamination, choose a less laborious, suitable method for you, and proceed.

Method 1

If you don’t want to spend a lot of time, use special cement cleaning products - Blitz spray, Baugerätereiniger 81 from SICOTAN or ATLAS SZOP. Use them this way:

1. Spray onto contaminated areas of the window.
2. Wait for the time indicated in the instructions so that the caustic alkali in the composition dissolves the building solidified mixture.
3. Remove gently with a rag.
4. Polish the glass with special sprays - Mr. Muscle or Cilit Bang, or prepare a solution from improvised means.

On a note! Such solutions are excellent for polishing windows and eliminating stains:

• vinegar with water in a ratio of 3-4 tbsp. for 1 liter;
• ammonia with water in a proportion of 1:10;
• salt with hot water in a proportion of 1 handful per 1 liter.

Method 2

A slightly more laborious and lengthy, but also effective option is the dissolution of cement with ordinary water. For this:

1. Moisten all frozen spots liberally.
2. Wait for the cement to soften.
3. Carefully remove the mixture with a spatula and then the remaining rag.
4. Polish the glass with a product that is convenient for you.

Method 3

Another household chemical product, but intended for utensils, also dissolves cement perfectly - it is Comet gel. Apply it according to this scheme:

1. Apply a small layer directly to the dirt.
2. Wait for the substance to work.
3. Remove dirt with a slightly damp cloth.
4. Polish the window in an acceptable way for you after removing all the drops of the building mixture.

Method 4

If there are only small drops on the glass, windowsill and frame, use a regular lemon. Proceed in this case as follows:

1. Cut the lemon in half.
2. Rub the halves of the cement stains.
3. Wait for the mixture to dissolve.
4. Wipe with a damp cloth.
5. Polish the glass.

On a note! You can squeeze juice onto horizontal surfaces - it will be more convenient and faster.

Method 5

If simpler methods did not help solve the problem, you will have to work hard. For this:

1. Wear gloves and a respirator.
2. Take a clean rag.
3. Soak it with acetic acid.
4. Intensively rub the soiled spots on the profile and glass with a rag.
5. Wet a second rag or soft sponge.
6. Pour soda on it - it should get wet.
7. Wipe all contaminated areas again intensively for 10-30 seconds, adding soda as needed.
8. Remove any remaining soda with a clean damp cloth.
9. Polish the window so that there are no stains left.
