How to clean the blinds?

In order for the cleaning of the blinds at home to be of high quality, select and apply the most suitable product for you from the following:

• dishwashing detergent;
• laundry or baby soap;
• window cleaner;
• tool for dry cleaning of vertical fabric blinds;
• wet wipes;
• microfiber cloth;
• cotton gloves;
• soft brush.

How to wash horizontal blinds?

If, when decorating the interior of your room, you came to the conclusion that horizontal blinds are the best solution, familiarize yourself with how to wash them in advance. To do this, we offer you several ways that do not take much time and effort.

Method 1

Cleaning horizontal blinds at home will be good if you use a window cleaner as follows:

1. Spray onto closed blinds.
2. Take a clean rag.
3. Hold the blinds with one hand, wipe them with a rag with the other.
4. Gently wipe dirt off each lamella.
5. Perform actions from top to bottom.

Method 2

Another quickest option:

1. Close the blinds.
2. Take a vacuum cleaner.
3. Vacuum each lamella using a nozzle to clean the furniture.
4. Dampen a microfiber cloth with water and wring it well.
5. Wipe each plate with it on both sides.

Important! Instead of a vacuum cleaner, you can use a paint brush.

Method 3

Remove significant contamination as follows:

1. Pour water into a container.
2. Add dishwashing detergent.
3. Take a clean sponge.
4. Soak it in soapy water and squeeze it well.
5. Wipe each lamella.
6. Wash the sponge in the solution as it becomes dirty.
7. Take a rag.
8. Wet it with clean water.
9. Squeeze and use it to remove the remaining foam from the panels.
10. Wipe them with a clean, dry cloth so that no streaks remain.

Method 4

You can quickly remove dust with ordinary wet wipes. For this:

1. Lean the blinds against the window.
2. Take wet wipes.
3. Remove dirt from the panels, moving from top to bottom.
4. Change wipes periodically as they become dirty.

Method 5

To prevent dust from settling on the slats, treat them as follows:

1. Take a polish or antistatic.
2. Add a small amount to the water poured into the container.
3. Wear rubber, then cotton gloves.
4. Soak them in the resulting solution.
5. Wipe the panel one by one on both sides.

Method 6

An effective cleaning agent for blinds is LOC by Amway. Apply it this way:

1. Pour water into the container.
2. Add to it the product in a ratio of 1: 200.
3. Put the resulting solution in a spray bottle.
4. Spray the product onto the panel.
5. Wipe them with a dry cloth.

How to wash vertical blinds?

In no case can fabric blinds be washed in a washing machine, so they will lose their shape and become deformed, and you can remove dirt from them using one of the following methods.

Method 1

Cleaning vertical fabric blinds at home is as follows:

1. Take a tool for cleaning vertical blinds, which can be purchased at a hardware store.
2. Fill a bucket with warm water.
3. Add some mild soap or detergent to it.
4. Cover the absorbent fabric under the blinds.
5. Wet the sponge ends of the instrument with soapy water.
6. Clamp the lamella with a tool on both sides.
7. Wipe each sheet in this way, moving from top to bottom.
8. Rinse the instrument periodically in clean water, then dip it again in soapy water.
9. Repeat the procedure if necessary.

Method 2

If your vertical fabric blinds are removable, wash them like this:

1. Remove the fabric from the window.
2. Roll it into rolls.
3. Put them in the bathroom and fill it with water.
4. Add detergent to it.
5. Wash neatly.
6. Rinse the blinds with cold, clean water.
7. Remove and spread the canvas on a flat surface.
8. Wait for it to dry completely.
9. Hang on the window.

Method 3

If you want to quickly clean the fabric strips from dust, do this:

1. Remove the fabric strips from the window.
2. Lay them on the floor.
3. Take wet wipes and wipe each cloth with them.
4. Hang on the window.

How to clean wooden blinds?

Wooden blinds are afraid of water - from its impact they crack, deform and lose their color. In order for the cleaning of wooden blinds from dust to be effective and not damage them, do the following:

1. Take a dry soft brush, rag or vacuum cleaner.
2. Go through each canvas and remove dust.
3. Wipe each panel with wood care product.
