Possible risks when carrying the toilet

It would seem that it could be easier than moving the toilet from one place to another, and attaching it there to fully use. But in fact, it is much more complicated:

• It will be necessary to lengthen the sewer pipes, which in practice can lead to a large discharge when flushing, will be accompanied by a breakdown of the hydraulic lock in the nearby plumbing fixtures.
• Perhaps the appearance of unpleasant odors from the sewer, as well as disgusting gurgling.
• There may also be a problem of increased clogging, as the trash will go a long way.

Important! These issues can be resolved by observing the current norms of SNiP. This document does not allow the toilet to be placed further than 1.5 meters from the pipe.

Dismantling the toilet

Before you figure out how to move the toilet to another place, you need to understand how to properly dismantle it. Dismantling directly depends on how it was installed. The easiest way to do this is if the toilet was installed on a standard fixture and connected to the tank using a rubber cuff. Just unscrew the fasteners with the floor, pull out the outlet by lifting the device towards you, and rotate along the pipe axis.

In all other cases, this is more difficult to do:

1. First, unscrew the mount. You will need a screwdriver or wrench if the toilet is attached to the floor.
2. Next, pull out the sewer outlet. Move the toilet bowl towards you along the axis of the nozzle.
3. After that, picking up a screwdriver, remove the putty between the outlet and the socket.
4. Then, using a chisel, drive it on the sides under the bottom of the toilet, rocking it.
5. After loosening, move the toilet from side to side, slowly.
6. Lift the toilet bowl strictly along the axis, while removing the outlet socket from it.

Important! Be careful when removing the toilet bowl so that it does not break.

Ways to transfer the toilet

Plumbing equipment can be moved to different distances and rotated at different angles. There are two ways to transfer the toilet - simple and complex.

Easy way

In this case, it is understood that the equipment will be moved a short distance, 10-20 cm:

• To get started, consider the state of the old flexible eyeliner. If it leaks or its length is short, change it to a similar one, and if it is in good condition, leave it as it is.
• To connect the toilet outlet to the socket, use a corrugation.
• Additionally, use silicone sealant, not paying attention to the fact that the corrugation has rubber seals on both sides. This is done in order to avoid possible leaks. Also purchase special fasteners in advance.

Important! Use plastic washers when pressing steel fasteners so as not to damage the base of the toilet.

After - proceed to the installation of equipment:

• Mark on the floor with a pencil the places where the fasteners will be located, and drill holes.

Important! If there is tile on the floor, drill it with a drill of a slightly larger diameter than fasteners.

• Clean the dirt, dust and old material from the sewer; wipe dry.
• Put silicone sealant on one side of the corrugation rubber seal, put it on the outlet of the device.
• Put the toilet in place, secure it using fasteners with washers. Tighten them until the equipment ceases to stagger.
• Spread a solution of the gap between the floor and the toilet - this will create additional support.
• Seal the sealant on the second side with sealant, insert it into the socket of the sewer pipe.

Hard way

If you are faced with the question of how to transfer the toilet from the riser to a distance of 30 cm or more, pay particular attention to this method.

Dismantling and installation occurs according to the method described above. A distinctive feature will only be the expansion of the sewer pipeline. For this process, a plastic pipe with a diameter of 110 mm is most often used.

The number, configuration, and length of fittings you need will depend on the new installation location of the toilet. Plastic pipe is carried out in two options. The first is on the floor, and the second is mounted to the wall using special clamps.

There are several subtleties:

• To lay the sewer level with the floor, remove the tap on the toilet from the cross or tee. You will have no problems with plastic. If the riser is made of cast iron, which is often found in old houses, you will have to preheat it - you can use a gas burner or a blowtorch. In this procedure, the seal will burn out and the cement putty will crack. Then - just remove the pipe from the socket.

Important! Use a gas mask during this procedure, as a very unpleasant and pungent odor will appear.

• Lubricate the joint of the cast-iron pipe with silicone sealant and insert a plastic pipe with a sealant into it.

Important! Observe the necessary slope to the riser, namely 1-2 cm per linear meter.

• If there is dirt in the socket, remove it. This can be done using a blowtorch. Despite the unpleasant odor, the result will be justified. Such sewage will not clog for a long time.
• Then feed water into the tank and flush the toilet bowl to check for leaks.

Important! You can hide the sewer pipe behind a drywall box.

Instead of a plastic pipe, you can also use corrugation. But do not forget, despite the fact that this is the easiest option, it is short-lived. It is best used in case of unhindered access for replacement.
