The device consists of two pipes, one of which is included in the other. A special material is laid between the pipes, which swells due to exposure to water and causes a safety valve to operate. The latter in this case shuts off the water supply.

Important! In cases when the washing machine draws water in the off state, the hose with the Aquastop system will not protect you from leaking.

A similar system works as follows:

1. Under normal operating conditions, water flows through the main inner tube.
2. In case of damage to the hose (slow leakage or breakthrough), water begins to come into contact with the layer between the tubes, which then swells.
3. Water is blocked by a safety valve and does not leak out. Thus, the floor in the room remains dry.

Important! Even if the tube breaks at the entrance, all the same, water will not flow to the floor surface, but will be collected in a special pan located at the bottom of the washing machine, which is equipped with a sensitive float. When water appears, the float rises and closes the contacts of the microswitch.

4. The Aquastop system in some models has an emergency pump that pumps water if the emergency valve does not work.

Important! It should be noted that the inlet hose with the Aquastop system only acts once in the event of an accident. After the system has been activated, the handset must be completely replaced.

Such models of inlet hoses are much more expensive than classic models, but the leakage protection they provide is more reliable.

How to connect the inlet hose to the washing machine?

• First of all, it is worth taking care of tapping into the water supply. A tee with an overhead tap is placed in this place.
• A nut with a plastic fitting is screwed onto the tee.

Important! A direct fitting is connected to a tee with a tap, and a curved fitting to a washing machine.

• It is recommended to install an additional mechanical cleaning filter along with the insert. It will complement the work already at the entrance to the unit mesh. Thanks to this, the washing machine will be reliably protected from water pollution.
