DIY sewing machine for leather
Making leather crafts is a fascinating and interesting hobby. However, there is one difficulty: lack of tools. Someone was lucky to get them on occasion, someone orders local craftsmen. At the same time, a manual sewing machine for leather with your own hands is quite feasible. Sewing with a standard needle with preliminary piercing the workpieces with an awl is a rather laborious and complicated matter. In addition, the thread is constantly twisted, “nap” and tangled. There is a seemingly good way out - to adapt the needle from a conventional sewing machine for sewing. The thread remains intact, but the needle itself does not withstand such violence. At the slightest careless movement, it simply breaks. Therefore, the very idea of making a semblance of a manual machine is as relevant as possible.

It turns out to sew no worse than a crochet. In any case, much faster. The thread does not fluff and does not twist, as when stitching leather parts with a regular needle.
