What do you need to create?

To make a basket of roses with sweets, you need to stock up on the following:

1. Round-shaped sweets with two tails.
2. Crepe (special corrugated paper) of the desired colors for the petals and green for the stems.
3. Reinforced thread.
4. Single sided tape.
5. Scissors.
6. Skewers (wooden sticks) of the required length.
7. Basket.

The process of making a flower basket of sweets

To make roses from corrugated paper with sweets, you need to follow this instruction:

• Buy all of the materials listed at the stationery and floristry store.
• Prepare everything you need. Fasten sweets on sticks - do it with adhesive tape for one of the candy tails.
• Now cut the rose petals: at a 3x8 cm rectangle, round the upper part and cut the corners from the bottom a little, forming a petal.
• Bend the middle of each petal with your fingers - this will make it possible to make crepe (special corrugated paper).

Important! Do not confuse it with the one that can be found in office supplies - it will not work for you, because it has a completely different structure and does not stretch.

• Stretch the top layer of the petal (only the very edge) to make a frill.
• Now, with the help of a wooden stick, bend it outwards, very carefully wrapping and rounding it.
• Do the same with all previously prepared petals.

Important! It is convenient to first cut the required number of petals and prepare each of them. For one fluffy rose you will need about 8-10 petals.

• Twist the first petal on a candy and fasten with a reinforced thread.
• Fix the second petal from the opposite side.
• Next, alternate the petals, going at each other each subsequent.

Important! Keep in mind that a real rose has only 5 petals in a row. This will not work from the very first row, but the last row must necessarily consist of five.

• Make the right amount of roses from candies - during the manufacturing process it is convenient to put them in a liter jar so that the petals do not crumble on their side.
• For sepals, take a green crepe. From a 4x8 cm rectangle, cut out two shapes that look like a fence or hedgehog needles.

Important! The secret is that one rectangle needs to be cut immediately into two sepals - this saves time and affects the consumption of material.

• Wrap this sepals around the base of the rose and tie it with a thread, since it is inconvenient to use scotch here - it greatly thickens the flower’s leg, and as a result it will look ugly.
• Glue the stalk itself with a long strip of the same green color or wrap it with a green wax tape.
• Form finished roses from sweets in a beautiful bouquet and place in a basket.
