Replacing filler and upholstery

The advantage of covering your chairs with your own hands is that you have the opportunity to give them a look that will be in harmony with the style of your home’s interior, as well as realize almost any creative ideas. To do this, select the furniture fabric of the desired color, texture, and then safely start the update:

1. According to the size of the old filler, cut a piece of new foam. Next, coat the perimeter of the chair frame with special glue, carefully press the new filler.
2. Close a new filler with a piece of draft fabric, fix it with brackets.
3. By analogy with the old details of the upholstery, make a pattern: circle with chalk or soap on a new fabric, and then cut the workpiece along the received perimeter.
4. Fill the blank face down, attach the seat on top, wrap the edges of the upholstery, and then secure them with a stapler, while trying to pull the material well.
5. Cover the bottom of the seat for the cuts of the rough fabric, then fasten it around the perimeter with staples.

Important! For more reliable fastening of all layers of the seat, thoroughly coat them around the perimeter with special glue. Already on a ready-made chair, place a load for a couple of days, for example, a bucket of water.
