• While the stain is fresh, dab it with a paper towel or rag to remove as much fat as possible from the surface of the fabric.

Important! Do not rub the stain, as it will blur, and the damaged area will become larger.

• Contamination should be treated from the wrong side of the damaged fabric.

Starch

For this method, you will need starch, iron and a clean cloth:

1. Sprinkle a little starch on the contaminated area.

Salt

The method using table salt is similar in its actions to the previous one. Instead of starch, sprinkle the oil stain with salt.

Toilet paper

1. Having folded a small piece of paper three times, put it under the soiled area.
2. Place the same bundle on top of the oil stain.
3. Cover with a clean cloth and iron with a warm iron.
4. Change the oil as it absorbs paper.

Acetone

If the pollution is quite old, then the methods described above may not be suitable. You can try to get rid of it with the help of an aggressive liquid - acetone.

Dishwashing liquid

Turpentine with ammonia

How to remove machine oil from clothes?

Magnesia Powder and Ether

1. Combine ether and magnesia powder until smooth.
2. Apply the mixture to the stain and rub it with gentle movements.
3. Move from the edges to the center of the spot.

Kerosene

Petrol

Potatoes

Raw potatoes must be grated. With gruel, treat the contaminated area and leave for 30-40 minutes. After - the potatoes should be removed from the clothes, and the spot should be cleaned with a crust of stale gray bread.

Stain remover

To remove stains of any origin, you can use a special stain remover. There is a wide selection of commercial household chemicals for various types of fabrics and stains of different origin. How to get rid of oil stains on the carpet?

It is not uncommon for carpets to be damaged with oil. The carpet is uncomfortable to wash and harder to get rid of stains, but still possible, thanks to the following methods.

Absorbent powder

Apply soda, starch or talcum powder to the carpet. Leave the powder on the carpet for a while so that it can absorb fat in itself. After that, remove the powder from the carpet with a vacuum cleaner. The oil stain should disappear.

Technical alcohol

Apply technical alcohol to the stain. Let it soak a little, then rub the alcohol in for 10 minutes. Use a clean cloth to remove excess moisture.

Dishwashing liquid with vinegar

1. Prepare a mixture of 2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar.

3. For 5-10 minutes, rub the solution into the stain.
