DIY TV mount on the wall

The flat-panel LCD TV receiver on the wall is very beautiful and stylish. Mounting in a suspended state of a kinescope type TV saves space. This is especially true in the kitchen. However, the cost of factory fasteners can not be called low. Let's talk about how to make a TV mount on a wall with your own hands.

Making fixtures for the LCD device

Supports, depending on the device, are of 2 types:

  • Motionless. TV equipment is attached firmly. The screen cannot be rotated or tilted.

Important! The advantage of such a system is extreme simplicity.

  • Rotary. This system makes it possible to turn the body of the device in the desired direction. In some mounting structures, you can change the vertical angle, especially if the device is placed high.

Fixed support

Before you make the TV bracket on the wall with your own hands, we will decide on the materials. All that is required for its manufacture is two wooden planks:

  • In this case, it is advisable to use solid and durable wood.
  • The length of the strips is 100-150 cm longer than the rear panel of the TV-device housing.

Important! In order for the screen to be located at a slight angle, you need to select the upper bar so that it is 20-25 mm thicker than the lower one.

Operating procedure:

  1. Screw 2 rings on the upper edges of the strips on the screws.
  2. Attach the straps with bolts on the back of the TV, at the top and bottom.
  3. Now carefully measure the distance between the planks and the rings to project the markings on the wall. At these points, screw the hooks, on which the whole structure will be suspended.

Important! This is a great option for flat receivers with a diagonal of 26 inches or more. The system is robust, reliable and easy to use.

DIY TV Wall Mount - Swivel Bracket

LCD TV-receivers have limited viewing angles, so fasteners equipped with a mechanism with a swivel angle will allow you to comfortably watch TV shows from anywhere in the room.

How to make a TV bracket? For the manufacture of fasteners you will need 2 plastic, wooden or metal plates. Their size is the larger, the more massive the telemeter.

Important! If the dimensions of the device are small, then plates 200x200 mm, 8 mm thick, are quite suitable.

Mounting Features:

  • One of the plates is designed to be attached to the wall, and the other to the TV receiver.
  • Mounting is provided by 4 corners of metal, at the rate of 2 for each of the plates.
  • A pipe segment is responsible for turns and inclinations. It is advisable to use a segment of a square section with dimensions of 20x20 mm, since it is more convenient to fix it.
  • Screw the sections of the angular profile to the plate so that the tube is placed between them and rotates freely.
  • Connect the pipe to them with a long bolt and fix the structure with nuts.
  • On the plate that is attached to the wall, place the corners parallel to the floor plane, which will make it possible to move the system in a horizontal plane.
  • On the plate that connects to the TV receiver, fix the corners perpendicular to the floor plane. This will enable you to change the tilt of the device.

Important! To make the system more maneuverable, you can use 2 pipes coupled with a long bolt and fastened with nuts.

Features of fasteners for picture tubes

Compared to LCD devices, CRT TV receivers are more massive, all other things being equal. It is not safe to fix such a device on the rear panel due to its relatively large weight. Therefore, a suitable option here is a support with a stand, on which, in fact, the TV device is installed.

So you will need:

  • A long corner made of metal.
  • Stand matching the dimensions of the device.
  • Square metal profile.
  • 4 corner metal profiles.
  • Plate (preferably metal).

The procedure is as follows:

  • Attach a long metal corner to the stand. He will keep the “box” from falling. This is necessary since in standby the stand will be at a slight angle.
  • Fasten the 2 lower corner metal profiles to the bottom of the stand, perpendicular to the wall. Place between them a piece of pipe on a long bolt.

Important! To make the structure stronger, fix between the pipe and the corner along the washer.

  • Lock the stand in a convenient angle and tighten the nuts securing the pipe.
  • Set the support into working position. To do this, screw two corners parallel to the floor on the metal plate. Fasten the square profile between them with a long bolt.
  • Attach the plate to a vertical plane using four screws.
