There are several ways to bring out a ballpoint pen. Most of them were also used by our parents, erasing ink stains. Figuratively, all these methods can be divided into chemical and mechanical. Consider them.

Mechanical methods

Mechanical methods involve the use of improvised tools through which a thin layer of paper is removed along with ink.

Blade

You can literally erase a pen from paper. Use a blade for this. Just gently wipe the top layer of paper with the paste. This method is suitable for those types of pens that are not very absorbed into the paper and write thinly. Your finger, which needs to be rubbed at the place of processing, will help you restore smoothness to the paper.

Important! Use this method only with thick paper, as in its thin forms you can easily wipe a hole.

Eraser

Many erasers are made double-sided - one side for a pencil, the other for pens. To prevent unforeseen moments, it is better to have one with you. The side for the handle contains abrasive particles and acts like a blade, gently erasing the top layer. But this stationery tool is much more convenient to use.

After the inscription has been removed - the surface needs to be given a more accurate look. This can be done as in the previous method or using a slightly warm iron, which just needs to be smoothed out.

Sandpaper

It acts in the same way as the two previous methods, with the difference that there is less chance of damaging the paper compared to the blade, and the ability to more effectively erase the inscription than with an elastic band.

Chemical methods

Chemical methods involve the use of solvent liquid substances, which, acting on the inscription on paper, neutralize ink.

Vinegar and potassium permanganate

Erase ink using a mixture of potassium permanganate and vinegar. We will need: vinegar concentrate (70%) - 1 tsp, potassium permanganate (potassium permanganate), hydrogen peroxide, cotton swab and stick.

Next, do the following:

1. Place a blank sheet of paper under the sheet.
2. We mix vinegar and a little potassium permanganate - the color of the mixture should be a dark purple hue.
3. Dip a cotton swab in the solution.
4. Gently apply it to the ink that needs to be cleaned.
5. Apply until the ink begins to fade, and then completely disappear.
6. A brownish brown stain will remain on the paper, do not be alarmed.
7. Dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide.
8. Swab the stain left over from potassium permanganate - it will disappear.
9. Take 2 sheets of blank paper or a piece of cloth.
10. Process through them with a warm iron the sheet from which you removed the ink until it was completely dry.

Citric, oxalic acid and water

Another effective way to erase a ballpoint pen, but quite aggressive.For the solution we need: 10 grams of oxalic acid and the same amount of citric acid and 100 ml of water. Then proceed as follows:

1. Prepare a sheet with an undesirable inscription - as in the previous method.
2. Mix the cooked ingredients.
3. Apply the mixture to a brush or cotton swab.
4. Wipe the label several times.
5. Dampen a cotton swab in clean water and blot the treated sheet where the ink was.
6. Dry it as in the previous method.

Important! Please note that these acids are very concentrated and corrosive. Therefore, to avoid skin burns, wear protective gloves and preferably a gauze bandage. And to protect furniture from spoilage, spread a clean cloth under a sheet of paper with an unnecessary inscription, or even better - thick cardboard.

White

A very quick but dangerous way. Dip a cotton swab in white and wipe the desired spot. Ink dissolves when exposed to chlorine.

Important! Be careful when handling whiteness, wear a mask and gloves.

Nail polish remover (with acetone)

You can also erase a pen using this tool. The acetone contained in it is a powerful solvent. Reproduce the following recommendations:

1. Dip a cotton swab in the liquid and blot the label with it.
2. Repeat until complete removal.
3. If after several times the ink is not removed, try to drip the product onto them.
4. Place a napkin underneath so that it absorbs excess.
5. Dry the processed product.

Important! This method is not suitable to remove a couple of letters or a slip of the letter, since under the influence of a solvent all the words written next to it can come down. But to remove blots or a single inscription - just right.

Isopropyl alcohol

You can also try removing the pen with alcohol. The steps in the procedure are repeated the same as with acetone, with the only difference being that after alcohol you need to remove ink stains with hydrogen peroxide.

Toothpaste

Even a tool such as toothpaste can help you erase ink. For this:

1. Put it on the inscription.
2. Rub with a toothbrush.
3. Blot with a cotton swab dipped in water to wash your toothpaste.
4. Dry the paper.

Important! This method is only suitable for removing large parts of inscriptions, since it is almost impossible to carry out a similar procedure very carefully to remove a single letter or dot.

Ultraviolet

If you have more than one day to delete unwanted inscriptions, then you can use this method. Just follow the following algorithm:

1. Put the item to be processed in a sunny place, after closing the rest of the text.
2. Leave it like this for a long time.
3. Ink burns out in the sun, and even if they do not come off completely, it will be easier for you to remove them using other methods.
