To do this, take a suitable product from the following and use it to clean the iron at home. In any of them you can remove all traces of dirt from the sole of the device in a couple of minutes.

Pencil

A special pencil for removing carbon deposits is the safest and most effective tool. In addition, it costs quite inexpensively, so it is better to purchase it in advance and store it at home until the desired situation.

Apply it as follows:

1. Take the iron.
2. Preheat it to be hot.
3. Unplug the appliance.
4. Rub the sole thoroughly with a pencil.
5. Keep in this state for a while.
6. Remove residues with a dry cloth.
7. When the appliance has completely cooled, wipe it with a damp cloth.

Important! During the application, an unpleasant odor may be released, but it does not cause any harm to health.

Hydroperite

A tool such as hydroperite will help clean the iron from the burn. The principle of its action is as follows:

1. Take some pills.
2. Wipe the sole with them.
3. As soon as the carbon deposits peel off, clean it with a damp cloth.

Vinegar

Soda

How to descale iron at home?

Limescale is no less a problem for the iron than the burn. The reason for the scum is most often hard water, which we pour to steam products. If you notice a precipitate at the bottom and walls of the tank or even worse - the scum falls on the clothes in drops when heated and processed, you should not immediately carry it away. You can descale your iron using household products.

Lemon acid

To clean the iron with citric acid, follow these instructions:

1. Take hot water - ½ cup.
2. Dissolve 2 teaspoons of citric acid in it.
