Cleaning the mouse without disassembling the device

If you do not understand very well how this device is designed or if you want your mouse to not take a lot of time to clean, remove dirt from it without disassembling the case. For this:

1. Disconnect the device from the PC.
2. Find where the lens is on the mouse.
3. Remove all specks from it with a cotton swab or a soft clean rag, but do it as carefully as possible, as this part is very fragile.
4. Turn the device over to inspect the bottom.
5. Arm yourself with a toothpick and remove all debris around the rubber feet of the wheels.
6. Take another toothpick and a clean cotton swab and carefully remove the dirt from the joints of the buttons.
7. Be careful not to push the mote inside. Otherwise, you have to disassemble the mouse and clean it thoroughly.

How to disassemble and clean the mouse?

If you decide that you need a thorough mouse cleaning and want to do it yourself, follow this sequence of actions:

1. Prepare a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Unscrew all the screws on the base of the device with it. One of them is usually clearly visible, the other 2 are located under the legs of Teflon.
3. Fold them neatly in one place so as not to lose.
4. Carefully remove the cover.
5. Inspect the microcontroller board.
6. Take a small soft sponge or cotton swab and remove any particles of dirt.
7. Change the cleaning tool to a new one and do the same operations with the sensor and the wheel.
8. Degrease the surface by wiping it with a cotton pad moistened with alcohol.
9. Replace the microcircuit, the wheels, if you had to remove them for cleaning, and then the housing cover.
10. Tighten the screws.
11. Wipe it off with a damp cloth.
