What to do with a child?

To amuse a child or a group of children is not difficult at all, and if competently and wisely approach the matter, then there is no need to talk about the benefits of this event. There are plenty of options for what to do with a child who, for some reason, remains at home. Using the simplest things and your imagination, you can have a good time with the baby. Several options to keep a child 2-3 years old:

• Dough. The dough can even be used as plasticine - it is an excellent material for modeling. It gets dirty less, wrinkles easily, and there will be nothing to worry about, if a baby accidentally swallows a bite. Kneading the dough is a fascinating activity for a small child, while mom is in the kitchen, and this activity also contributes to the development of finger motility and speech.
• Plastic bottle. To entertain the child, you can make a simple toy for the development of fine motor skills. Just take a five-liter plastic bottle with a wide neck and caps from other plastic bottles for mineral water, lemonade. The kid will be happy to first put the caps in, and then get them out - this is a great way to keep the baby busy for a while.
• Games with pasta. Cook pasta (shells, bows, spirals). Sit down the dolls and put them plates from the children's utensils, lay out each doll their food. Boys can put macaroni into several small cars - let them take building materials to the construction site. For a minimum of 30-40 minutes you managed to entertain your child with an interesting game.
• Puppet show. With a child, you can arrange a whole puppet theater by simply taking painted wooden spoons for him. Put on the spoons of clothes on the rubber bands of those heroes that will be needed for the performance, and that's it, the dolls are ready. And if you are ready to spend a little more of your time, use our workshops to make different dolls from socks.
• Shoelaces. Give the baby a couple of sheets of multi-colored thick cardboard and make a lot of holes on the sheet with a hole punch. When the work is completed, hand the child a string, securing it in one hole with a bundle and let him make patterns.
• Bubbles, tubes, bottles, jars. This is one of the most beloved children's “toys”. As a rule, parents are afraid to give them to small children - you never know, they will break it. But a small glass container, for example, from under baby food, is very difficult to break. Putting everything into different transparent jars is much more interesting - everything is visible. Unscrewing and twisting the lid also gives children great pleasure. And in a jar you can fill in different cereals, seeds or small nuts - this is an excellent rattle.
• Glomeruli, pompons. If your pompons are torn off your hat, do not rush to throw them away, because with them you can take a child. They can be used just like balls - throw, catch and crush. Or you can play “cups” with them - take a few identical cups, cover one of them with a pompom and swap them. And the baby will find them. What to do with an older child?

Now we will consider several master classes that will be useful to you if you need to carry the child home, and he is already older.

Christmas pasta decorations

What New Year's decorations do not just make of - even pasta comes into play. It sounds strange, but the result is very beautiful. And while the older ones wield paint and glue, the younger ones can be entrusted to string.

To create unusual Christmas decorations from pasta you will need the following:

• Pasta of different shapes.
• Silver or gold paint and sparkles.
• Super glue.
• Beads, ropes and ribbons.

Sequencing:

1. Put the pasta in a variety of shapes - flowers, snowflakes, any geometric shapes.
2. Glue them with super-glue, leave it until completely dry.
3. Let the child paint the resulting figure with silver or gold paint, sprinkle with sparkles on top. Glue the beads in the center.
4. If you have pasta without holes, then glue the ropes, if with holes, then simply thread through them.

A ball with the snow

This, of course, is not quite a ball, but a very nice variation on the theme of fabulous winter balls that you shake - and the snow falls inside. When you create it with a child, you will kill two birds with one stone - you can take a child and make a great gift.

You will need the following:

• Glass jar.
• Super glue.
• Artificial snow (can be bought in large chains such as Auchan or ordered on Aliexpress).
• Spray can with silver or white spray paint.
• Sparkles.
• Figures of snowmen and Christmas trees for Christmas decorations.

Sequencing:

1. Remove the lid from the jar, paint it with silver or white paint.
2. Turn the lid over, glue the snowman and Christmas tree tightly to it.
3. Pour a small amount of snow into the jar (you can add a little sparkle).
4. Screw on the lid and shake the jar.

Important! By the same principle, you can make several such jars with different figures and arrange a snowy village on your windowsill - your child will definitely like it.

Cooking Together: Sweet Pizza with Nutella and Marshmallows

What could be better in spending time together with a child than joint cooking of something tasty? And pizza, and even sweet one, is just a wonderful option that all kids will surely appreciate.

For the test you will need the following ingredients:

• Water - 300 ml.
• Flour - 300 g
• Salt - 5 g.
• Sugar - 10 g.
• Dry yeast - 3 g.

For filling:

• M & M’s - 20 g.
• Cream 35% - 100 ml.
• Cranberries - 10 g.
• Pistachios - 5 g.
• Nutella - 30 g.
• Marshmallow - 20 g.
• Shortbread Cookies - 5 g.

Cooking:

1. Warm water to room temperature, add sugar, salt and dry yeast.
2. Stir and sift the flour.
3. Knead the dough, cover with a towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.
4. Roll out the dough to 1 cm thick, put it in a baking dish.
5. Lubricate the dough with cream, bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 20 minutes in the oven.
6. After cooking, sprinkle with fresh cranberries, M & M’s, then pour Nutella, sprinkle crumbled shortbread cookies and chopped pistachios on top.
7. Put the marshmallows on and burn it a little.

Colorful paper fishing

A wonderful game that you will be able to captivate your child at home for a while. A child can make a fishing rod and fish himself (of course, if he can already be trusted with a needle), and then everything can be put in a box and stored along with board games.

You will need the following:

• Thick colored paper.
• Needle.
• Thick multi-colored thread type floss.
• Rope
• Stick.
• Clip.

Sequencing:

1. Cut out the silhouettes of fish from colored paper (they can be downloaded and printed from the Internet).
2. Fold the two halves of one fish, cram a thin crumpled paper inside so that the fish become voluminous, sew them with rough stitches over the edge.
3. Make a loop on the nose of each fish.
4. Tie a rope to the stick, and fasten the paper clip to the end (unclip the paper clip so that you get a hook).

Making a real kaleidoscope in 30 minutes

On a sunny summer day, a kaleidoscope is great fun. You can sit by the window and watch the colorful pieces for a long time. Such a toy will be a great way to keep your child busy.

To create a kaleidoscope, you will need the following:

1. Two sheets of loose cardboard (cardboard from corn flakes is suitable).
2. Cardboard roll from paper towels.
3. Multi-colored beads and sparkles.
4. Roasting foil.
5. Glue.
6. Scotch.
7. Scissors.
8. Transparent thick plastic (for example, packaging from slices with cheese or sausage).
9. Colored paper.

Sequencing:

• Take a roll of paper towels, place it on thick plastic, circle the circle with felt-tip pen and cut the circle of the desired size.
• Coat the edges of the circle with super-glue and apply from the outside of the cylinder.
• Pour multicolored beads and sparkles inside the cylinder.
• Cut another circle of plastic and insert it inside the cylinder so that the beads refuse to be fixed between the two circles.

Important! In order to push it inside smoothly, you can use the ruler.

• Take loose cardboard and cut three strips approximately 2.5 cm wide and equal in length to your cylinder.
• Wrap each strip tightly with foil, fold a triangle out of it - fasten it with transparent tape.
• Insert the triangle inside the cylinder, and wrap the cylinder itself with colored paper or color it.

Making huge soap bubbles

In childhood, beautiful soap bubbles were obtained from soap powder and plain water. Today, instead of powder, you can use a dishwashing detergent or liquid soap, but for their special strength you will need to add a secret ingredient.

You will need the following for such children's fun:

• Liquid glycerin that can be bought at any pharmacy.
• Distilled water.
• Dishwashing liquid.

Cooking sequence:

1. Mix two glasses of water, half a glass of dishwashing liquid, two teaspoons of sugar (or two tablespoons of liquid glycerin).
2. Put the solution in the refrigerator for a day - so the bubbles will be denser and will burst less.
3. If you want the bubbles to be colorful, add food coloring to the solution.
4. Bubble sticks can be made from chenille or conventional wire.
