What can not be used?

In this case, you should immediately abandon the following options:

  • calico;
  • silk;
  • satin.

Important! During operation, they wear out very quickly and lose their attractive appearance, which is why the furniture itself looks unattractive.

Also, do not use plastic, fire hazardous substances or those materials that, when heated, emit harmful substances.

What can be used?

The most suitable materials for creating such furniture are:

  • Velor is remotely resembling faux fur fabric, soft, velvety and pleasant to the touch.
  • Flock is a material similar to velor.
  • Chenill - a natural fabric with the addition of synthetics.
  • Jacquard - a similar fabric to chenille, synthetics are also added there.
  • Artificial suede. The advantage of this fabric is that it is easy to care for.
  • Imitation leather. This material will give a chic look to your furniture.
  • Tapestry.This fabric is heavy-duty and anti-static, and just beautiful, due to the fact that it can be depicted with the help of threads completely different beautiful patterns. Furniture made from such a fabric will add originality to your interior.e94-p19170231r1qo3u28sqp17muf756

Fillers

As a filler, you can use:

  • Expanded polystyrene is the best option.
  • If at your place there was a repair and unnecessary polystyrene remained, then it can also be used as a filler. Just before that, it should be crushed into small balls.
  • If you are a lover of all natural, then you can use buckwheat husk or hay. But in this case, you will have to change the filler once every six months or a year, because these materials are subject to moisture and over time they are compressed

We figured out the material, now we should go directly to the manufacture of frameless furniture with our own hands.

Making a bean bag

To sew frameless furniture with your own hands, you will need to purchase a lot of fabric, since we need to sew two bags - one external and one internal.

Also required:

  • 200-300 l of filler;
  • lightning;
  • reinforced sewing thread;
  • scissors;
  • sewing machine.

Important! You can also prepare stencils, which you can find on special Internet resources.

Working process:

  1. Take the finished patterns and redraw them with chalk on the fabric that you have chosen for your chair.

Important! You always need to leave allowances for seams - this is somewhere around 1-1.5 cm.

  1. We make two blanks - first the inner bag, and then the outer one.
  2. We begin the process of stitching our blanks. To do this, you need to sew the wedges with side edges, and then sew the top and bottom, while sewn in the zipper.
  3. After you have made both bags, insert the inner bag into the outer one and start filling up the filler. To do this, you can take either a funnel or an ordinary plastic bottle, or just roll the paper into a tube.
  4. Open the bag with the filler and put the tube in there, glue it with tape so that there are no holes through which the filler will fall to the floor. It is not necessary to fill up completely, but about 50-70% of the volume.
  5. If you want to make the chair tougher, then go to sleep more. But we do not recommend this.

Important! If you make a chair from a dense fabric, it is best to sew special valves into the chair. This will help the chair quickly take the shape of the body of the person sitting on it, and will not allow moisture to accumulate in the chair.
