Remove dirt

It is likely that if you fell into slushy weather or moved around the city in a mink coat on public transport, your thing was covered in dirt. Of course, you can get upset and take the precious wardrobe item to dry cleaning, but why do it if you can handle it on your own right at home. To do this, you just need to do this:

1. Take talcum powder, starch or baby powder.
2. Apply all over the fur.
3. Wait a little.
4. Brush the pile, removing the powder along with the dirt.

Important! Such a procedure should only be done on a dry thing. If there is a lot of dirt:

• Mix any of the above with refined gasoline to a paste consistency.
• Spread the mixture over the most contaminated areas of your item.
• Wait for the gas to evaporate.
• Take a brush over the fur to remove any remaining cleaning agent and dirt.

Proper drying of fur on a mink coat:

1. Hang a fur coat on wide shoulders.
2. Do not hang it in a sunny place.
3. Remove moisture from the fur, walk along the pile with a special brush.
4. If the item is wet, then blot it with a clean, soft cloth.
5. Do not touch the fur coat until it is completely dry.

Important! In no case do not dry such outer clothing with a hairdryer, heater or over a gas stove. Only gentle drying at home.

In summer time

The problem of how to store a mink coat in the summer is quite appropriate for an ordinary girl. The whole difficulty lies in the fact that its storage is allowed only at temperatures up to 18C. In the summer in your house, if there is no air conditioning or you do not use it in principle, the temperature will probably be much higher. Therefore, the best solution would be dry cleaning.

If the dry cleaning option is absolutely not suitable for you, you still have to cope with the problem of how to store a mink coat in the summer, at home. Please note that this must be done very responsibly and with special care for the product.

General rules:

1. Find a dark, cool and spacious storage space at home.
2. Hang a fur coat on the widest shoulders.
3. Wear a cover that lets air through.
4. Do not use a moth spray, but rather use tablets or special pouches.
5. Ventilate and inspect the fur coat periodically.
6. Do not ventilate the fur product in direct sunlight - it is better in the shade and only in dry weather.

Important! Never hang a dirty coat in a closet for the summer. Be sure to clean it initially. The cleaning technology has already been described above along with a list of suitable products.

Case

A cotton or linen case is suitable for storing a fur coat, but in no case do not take plastic cases. Also do not take the case of poor quality, it can be painted.

Space
